Hi folks. Well a few weeks ago my wife & I dropped the kids with the old folks & we jumped on our bikes for a wee bit of off roading. I had just picked up the BOB trailer and was dying to give it a whirl so I did. Great bit of kit for anyone looking to carry a bit of gear and it tows real nice. Ingrid had to have panniers cos I refused to carry it all. Not really, she isn’t a slacker at all.

We set off from Nanga Town site and went south tho the first hut. It consisted of a lot of on the road up then on 4WD track down closely followed by some flatter trail to the hut turn off. It really surprised us how soon we arrived as we were thinking 15kms might take a bit longer.

There were a couple of guys already set up at the hut and they proved to be a wealth of off road cycling knowledge.The hut was your typical type of shelter with tables chairs rain water tand & bunk style beds for about 30 bodies. The waterfall spa was a refreshing soul cleanser. Dinner time. Ham & salad roll, conti rice, frozen yoghurt, tea & PORT. Who says you cant eat well?
A hard thin mattress & mozzies didn’t really help the sleep but there was no snoring. Everyone survived the night. Breaky was bacon eggs coffee muesli OJ but really only tea & muesli bars.

We packed up and hit the trail retracing some of the previous ride and had a little detour to visit The King Jarrah tree. Huge!! The rest of the trip consisted of some rolling track and ill posted detouring which caused us a little pain til we reread the signage. Some nice looking camp areas around the area (Dwellingup). We encountered some nasty climbs on the way to Dwellingup but nothing that rendered us heartbroken.
Our destination was Dwell Cottage for the night and we were not disappointed. Hot showers, pretty gardens to read our books & soft bed for the bod. There was alsoo food at the local cafe. Burgers & real coffee and comfy seats to relax read & drink more coffee (yes addicts).
